Ms. Roberts' class celebrated the end of an incredible first-grade year with a fun-filled End-of-the-Year Countdown!
For more than 10 days, students enjoyed themed celebrations that made everyday learning even more memorable. From a Picnic Snack and outdoor reading to Beach Day, STEAM Day, and Super Stuffy Day, each day featured engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
Students applied their math, engineering, and problem-solving skills by measuring stuffed animals and sea creatures, designing homes for their stuffed friends, building towers and bridges, solving puzzles, and collaborating through games and challenges. Ms. Yochai’s 2nd graders were excited to welcome Mrs Malone for one final Community Circle of this school Year. The students were asked “If you were president, what would you change and why?” The class had thoughtful and creative ideas. Some suggested adding more trash cans to parks to keep them cleaner, while others wanted to lower taxes so families could afford more necessities. Several children suggested that school days should be shorter and most agreed! This was a wonderful discussion filled with kindness and problem solving. They were so happy to have Mrs Malone join us for this meaningful activity.
