It is a privilege for me to be part of the Forest Road community this year. I am delighted to welcome back our students, staff, and families as we kick off the school year. I am eager to meet everyone face-to-face and would like to invite you to meet me as the school year begins. Keep an eye out for a Parent Square notification or home notice regarding the in-person Meet-and-Greet sessions once our facility is prepared. Having spent time in Valley Stream District 30, I have observed the strong bond within this community among all participants, and I am excited to commence a fantastic new school year, fostering a "growth mindset" for student success. I am looking forward to collaborating to create an enriching and nurturing environment at Forest Road for all students. Our district theme for the year will be “Rhythm is all around us”. I encourage you to think about this statement and what it means to you with regards to our school community and how the arts influence our students' growth.
Throughout the year, please ensure you read the school correspondence Parent Square and engage in workshops, parent school events, PTA meetings, and classroom visits to better support your child. Your involvement plays a crucial role in your child's success. Take the 2 in 10 Pledge to dedicate two hours of your time to the school over the next ten months. Join our motivated PTA/SEPTA, attend monthly meetings focused on parent education and empowerment, and be part of our supportive community. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing top-quality education and is always available to address any concerns or suggestions you may have. Let's work together to make this year exceptional!
