For Black History Month, Mrs. Forcina’s Pre-K class loved learning about Garrett Morgan, a smart inventor who helped make our communities safer. We learned that he invented the traffic light to help cars and people know when to stop, slow down, and go. Through stories and simple discussions, students talked about how traffic lights help keep everyone safe every day. It was exciting for the children to learn that one person’s great idea can make a big difference in the world! 🚦

This week in Ms. Gangi's class we started our 3rd Writing Unit- Writing Readable True Stories. We sat around our classroom “campfire” and told true stories about out lives. There were stories about the snow day, birthday parties, going on a special vacation and spending time with family and friends. We can’t wait to see the books these authors publish this unit!
