In honor of Veterans Day, the students of Clear Stream Avenue School came together to express their gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country. Across many classrooms, students wrote heartfelt letters to Military Veterans, thanking them for their courage, dedication, and sacrifice. These letters provided students with an opportunity to reflect on the significance of service and to recognize the freedoms we enjoy because of those who protect our nation.

In addition to honoring military service members, Clear Stream Avenue also acknowledged the veterans within our own community—many of whom continue to serve as first responders. These individuals play a vital role in keeping our neighborhoods safe, whether as police officers, firefighters, EMTs, or other emergency personnel. Students learned that service does not end with military duty; it continues each day through acts of bravery, responsibility, and commitment to others.

Veterans Day at Clear Stream Avenue School was both educational and deeply meaningful. Through writing, conversation, and appreciation, our students ignited the values of respect, empathy, and citizenship. We are proud of their thoughtful efforts and grateful to all Veterans and first responders who embody the true spirit of service.
