Students at Forest Road Elementary School in the Valley Stream District 30 engaged in the climbing unit in their physical education classes, challenging them to reach new heights.

On a rope, a knotted rope and a ladder, each student had a chance to make it to the top. The increasing difficulty of the climbs proved to be fun challenges for all. Students also took turns securing the bottoms of the ropes and ladder.

As part of the unit, students also used muscle trainers, hula hoops and other equipment to keep them moving, as well as participated in rope swinging lessons.
