Fifth grade students at Forest Road Elementary School in the Valley Stream District 30 studied and recreated the ancient Seven Wonders of the World in celebration of International Week.

Students investigated where each wonder, including the Roman Coliseum, the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Taj Mahal, are located around the globe and their historical significance. Under the guidance of teachers Taya Bartell, Chris Nazario, Lauren Weick and STEAM aide Debbie Thomas, the projects were crafted using recycled materials and a close attention to detail. The projects are on display to give the school community a taste of the many different areas of the world.
