Grade Level 4-6

    • Math Baseball
      • Students can play against the computer or one another.  There are 4 levels of play, easy, medium, hard and super brain.  Students can practice Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division or mixed problems.

    • KAKOOMAMath Fluency (Addition and Multiplication)
      • Your child will be hooked on the math puzzle, Kakooma.  This fun and engaging game calls for children to use multiplication and addition skills to solve each challenging puzzle.  Complete each puzzle before the sun sets!

      • The goal is for students to answer as many math problems in a row  as they can in this timed multiplayer math drill.  An announcer will encourage children as they work.  At the end of each round students can compare their scores with others who are online at the same time. Students can choose to practice Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication or Division.

    • Wothan the Division Barbarian
      • Students will use their knowledge of division to help Wothan the Barbarian navigate through the board by answering division equations correctly.

      • Students will solve math equations including all four operations to shoot the basketball into the basket that displays the correct answer.

    • Fraction Sorter Activity 
      • This interactive activity allows students to enhance their skills working with fractions.They make fractions, color in the correct portions, and then they place these fractions in order from the least to the greatest.

     

    • Reducing Fractions
      • Students can practice fractions, mixed numbers, decimals at this site.  They choose their grade level and the number of problems to be presented.  They can user a timer if they wish.

     

    • Math Maven's Mystery
      • Students act as detectives to solve some tough math questions.  There are math scenarios that cover logic and reasoning, whole number operations, fractions and ratios, and money and decimals.  There are three levels of difficulty to choose from.  Great but challenging site!
    • Reading Graphs 
      • This page presents an interactive student quiz on reading either bar or line graphs.  There are two levels of content.  Teachers can also have their students adjust the program to include questions on mean, median and mode by having them select level 3.
    • Grand Slam Math
      • This interactive program helps students become better at solving word problems. Level 1 contains 15 addition and subtraction problems. Level 2 contains 12 multiplication and division problems. The questions start out easy and get progressively harder.

     

    • Math Playground
      • Math Playground is a mathematics learning site for students. They can practice their math skills, play a logic game and have fun!

     

    • Word Problems 
      • This page maintained by Drexel University has math age word problems for grades 5 and 6.
    • Geometric Terms 
      • Interactive page that includes matching, concentration, flashcards and a word search of geometric terms.  The page includes a list of terms with the correct definitions that students may refer to, if necessary, during the activities.
    • Understanding Experimental Probability
      • Students experiment with experimental probability using a fixed size section spinner,a variable section spinner, or 2 regular 6 sided number cubes.  Appropriate for elementary grades.
