Mr. Adams & Mr. Kalinowski, Directors


OVERVIEW
Band is an exciting and engaging activity at our school.  Students receive one thirty-minute lesson per week during the school day.  Students in the fifth-and-sixth grade also participate in weekly band rehearsals on Friday mornings before school.  Children learn proper form and technique on their instruments, as well as a variety of music.  All instruments are provided by the District, free of charge.

 
HOW DO I JOIN?
In the spring of third grade, your child receives a demonstration of all band and orchestra instruments that are available. They are sent home with a packet of information that explains the program. Parents are asked to help their child select your their top three choices. Instruments are then assigned based on need and availability. All instruments need representation each year, and several instruments are very limited each year. Students in other grades should see Mr. Adams or Mr. Kalinowski to discuss their options.
