Academic Intervention Services
Valley Stream 30 uses a series of screenings and assessments to determine if a child may be in need of academic support. Once a student is identified the goal of the service is to accelerate student learning and help them master the skills they need in order to exit them from the support service as quickly as possible. Student progress is monitored regularly to make sure that the service plan is working for the student. If growth is not noted services are adjusted and improved to better meet the need of the student. The guide for identifying students for support can be found below as well as the range of evidence based services that District staff use as interventions.
