Budget Time/Come and Be Informed and Opportunity to Provide Input
At December’s Work Session there was a preliminary discussion regarding the upcoming budget development process. It is currently anticipated that the District will be working to develop a budget that falls within the parameters of the new State requirements of no more than a two percent (2%) tax levy increase, without a supermajority vote required for passage.
There will be several upcoming opportunities for you to become informed regarding budget discussions and to provide input. Budget discussions will occur at:
January 23, 2012 - Work Session
January 31, 2012 - Board Business meeting
February 1, 2012 - Community Budget Forum
February 13, 2012 - Work Session
February 27, 2012 - Board Business meeting.
All meetings take place at 8:00 p.m. at the Shaw Library. The public is invited to all meetings, as important information will be discussed and presented at each. Public comment can be made at the Board Business meetings and Community Budget Forum.
